1½ tsp | baking powder |
½ tsp | garlic powder |
½ tsp | paprika |
½ tsp | salt |
½ tsp | black pepper |
2 lbs | split chicken wings |
12 slices (approx.) | bacon, halved crosswise |
½ cup | The Original Louisiana Brand Wing Sauce |
Preheat oven to 425˚F.
In medium bowl, stir together baking powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt and pepper. Add chicken wings and toss with seasoning mix until coated.
Wrap each chicken wing in piece of bacon and place, seam-side down, on foil-lined large baking sheet, spacing at least 2 inches apart. Brush liberally with 1/3 cup wing sauce.
Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until wings are golden brown, cooked through and bacon is golden and crisp.
Serve wings with remaining wing sauce for dipping.
Tip: Use maple bacon or peppercorn bacon for a variation
Tip: If desired, serve also with sour cream mixed with chives.
