1 lb | dried spaghetti |
½ cup | butter, cubed and divided |
4 tbsp | The Original Louisiana Brand Hot Sauce |
1 lb | deveined, peeled, tails removed large shrimp (21–25 count) |
4 | cloves garlic, minced |
¼ cup | freshly squeezed lime juice |
¼ cup | tequila |
¾ tsp | salt |
½ tsp | black pepper |
2 tbsp | finely chopped fresh parsley |
Cook spaghetti according to package directions. Reserve 1/4 cup cooking liquid; drain spaghetti. Return spaghetti to saucepan and set over low heat. Add reserved cooking liquid, 1/4 cup butter and 1 Tbsp hot sauce; stir to coat well.
Preheat grill to high heat. Place large cast-iron skillet on barbecue and heat until almost smoking.
Meanwhile, in medium bowl, toss together shrimp, garlic, lime juice, tequila, 2 tbsp hot sauce, salt and pepper.
Add remaining butter to cast-iron skillet and let melt. Stir in shrimp and marinade. Cook, turning shrimp, for 2 to 3 minutes or until shrimp are curled, pink and just cooked through.
Serve shrimp over pasta. Garnish with parsley and serve with remaining hot sauce to drizzle.
Tips: Alternatively, heat cast-iron pan indoors on stovetop. Make sure that the kitchen fan is on HIGH to prevent the smoke alarm from sounding.
