Honey Hot Chicken is a deliciously sweet and spicy dish, perfect for grilling. The chicken breasts are marinated in a flavorful blend of olive oil, garlic, and Better Than Bouillon® Roasted Chicken Base, then grilled and coated with a zesty honey glaze featuring Louisiana Brand Hot Sauce. A touch of coarse ground mustard and cilantro adds extra depth, making this dish a hit for any dinner or gathering. Sweet, spicy, and savory all in one bite!

Honey Hot Chicken

Ingredients

Marinade

Quantity Ingredient
½ cup olive oil
1 tsp chopped garlic
1 Tbsp Better Than Bouillon® Roasted Chicken Base
½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
6 chicken breasts (6-ounce)

Glaze

Quantity Ingredient
0½ cup honey
1 tsp Better Than Bouillon Roasted Chicken Base
0¼ cup The Original Louisiana Brand Hot Sauce
1 tsp coarse ground mustard
2 Tbsp chopped cilantro
½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper

Directions

Directions for Marinade

    Whisk all marinade ingredients together in a medium bowl. Place chicken into gallon Ziploc bags or other sealed container with the marinade and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Directions for Glaze

    Preheat grill to 400°F.

    In another medium bowl whisk together all glaze ingredients.

  • 3

    Place the chicken directly onto the grill and cook for 5-6 minutes. Turn the chicken and cook for 5-6 minutes more or until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F. Coat chicken with glaze before removing from grill.
