Loaded with tasty Italian flavors and spiked with hot sauce, this simple pasta salad makes a delicious side for any summer barbecue, but so good that you’ll make it all year long.
1 lb | penne pasta |
1 cup | Italian vinaigrette |
2 Tbsp | The Original Louisiana Brand Hot Sauce |
8 oz | pearl bocconcini |
1 pint | dry cherry tomatoes, halved |
8 oz | Italian-style salami, sliced or cubed |
¼ cup | thinly sliced fresh basil |
Cook pasta according to package directions; drain and rinse under cold water. Drain well.
Toss pasta with vinaigrette and hot sauce until well coated. Toss with bocconcini, cherry tomatoes, salami and basil. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
Genoa, soppressata or fennel salami all work well in this salad. If using whole salami, dice into bite-size cubes, but if using slices, cut into strips.
