Loaded with tasty Italian flavors and spiked with hot sauce, this simple pasta salad makes a delicious side for any summer barbecue, but so good that you’ll make it all year long.
|1 lb||penne pasta|
|1 cup||Italian vinaigrette|
|2 Tbsp||The Original Louisiana Brand Hot Sauce|
|8 oz||pearl bocconcini|
|1 pint||dry cherry tomatoes, halved|
|8 oz||Italian-style salami, sliced or cubed|
|¼ cup||thinly sliced fresh basil|
Cook pasta according to package directions; drain and rinse under cold water. Drain well.
Toss pasta with vinaigrette and hot sauce until well coated. Toss with bocconcini, cherry tomatoes, salami and basil. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
Genoa, soppressata or fennel salami all work well in this salad. If using whole salami, dice into bite-size cubes, but if using slices, cut into strips.Recipe tags: Louisiana Brand Hot Sauce, easy difficulty, lunch, stovetop
