These mini pepper poppers are a toned-down twist on a spicy classic snack. Made with sweet peppers instead of jalapeños, these addictive appetizers are sure to be a crowd-pleaser!
1 cup | shredded Cheddar cheese |
1 cup | brick-style cream cheese, softened |
½ cup | chopped cooked bacon |
¼ cup | finely chopped fresh chives |
8 | mini sweet peppers, halved lengthwise and seeded |
2 tbsp | Louisiana Hot Sauce - Southwest Jalapeno |
In medium bowl, stir together Cheddar, cream cheese, bacon and chives. Divide mixture evenly among pepper halves.
Preheat air fryer to 400 F according to manufacturer’s instructions
Arrange half the stuffed peppers in air-fryer basket.
Air-fry for 6 to 8 minutes or until peppers are tender and filling is gooey.
Transfer to serving platter and repeat with remaining stuffed peppers.
Drizzle mini pepper poppers with the Original “Louisiana” Brand Hot Sauce™ Southwest Jalapeno before serving.
Tip: Omit bacon for a vegetarian alternative if desired. Or substitute bacon with chopped sun-dried tomatoes or plant-based bacon bits.
