Inspired by Mexican flavors, these crispy tostadas are a perfect vessel for The Original “Louisiana” Brand Hot Sauce™ Smoked Chipotle. This recipe is fresh, versatile and great for a quick and easy lunch or dinner!
2 cup | shredded rotisserie chicken |
6 Tbsp | Louisiana Hot Sauce - Smoked Chipotle |
2 | ripe avocados, pitted and mashed |
12 | corn tostadas (store-bought or homemade) |
1½ cup | shredded lettuce |
1 cup | diced tomato |
¾ cup | quick-pickled red onion (see Tip) |
½ cup | sour cream |
fresh cilantro, chopped |
In a medium bowl, stir together chicken and 4 Tbsp of The Original “Louisiana” Brand Hot Sauce™ Smoked Chipotle.
Spread avocado evenly over tostadas. Top evenly with chicken mixture, lettuce, tomato and pickled red onion.
Drizzle evenly with sour cream and remaining The Original “Louisiana” Brand Hot Sauce™ Smoked Chipotle. Garnish with cilantro before serving (optional).
Tip: To make quick-pickled red onions, stir 1/2 cup of vinegar, 1/2 cup of warm water, 1 Tbsp of granulated sugar and 1 tsp of salt. Pour over 1 cup of thinly sliced red onion and let stand for 15 minutes. Leftover pickled red onions can be refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 1 week; use in sandwiches, tacos and salads!
