Jazzed up with roasted red peppers and Cajun Heat hot sauce, this spicy twist on a classic Italian pasta dish is simple but delicious.
1 lb | dried spaghetti |
⅓ cup | butter, cut into cubes and divided |
1 cup | diced drained jarred roasted red peppers |
¼ cup | diced pickled jalapeño pepper |
2 | cloves garlic, minced |
2 tbsp | Louisiana Hot Sauce - Cajun Heat |
1¼ cups | grated Parmesan cheese, divided |
¼ cups | finely chopped fresh parsley |
2 tsp | freshly ground black pepper |
In large saucepan, cook spaghetti according to package directions. Reserve ¾ cup pasta cooking water; drain spaghetti.
Return saucepan to medium heat. Transfer 2 tbsp butter, roasted red peppers, jalapeños and garlic to saucepan. Stir in The Original Louisiana Brand® Hot Sauce Cajun Heat. Cook, stirring, for 1 to 2 minutes or until butter has melted and garlic is fragrant. Reduce heat to low.
Add spaghetti, reserved cooking water, remaining butter, 1 cup Parmesan, parsley and black pepper; cook, stirring, for 1 to 2 minutes or until pasta is well coated.
Divide among 4 to 6 bowls. Garnish with remaining Parmesan.
Tip: Substitute butter with olive oil if preferred.
